Brief Report on the National Cadet Corps (NCC)
PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya COD, Jabalpur
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a significant youth organization that fosters qualities such as discipline, leadership, patriotism, self-confidence, physical fitness, and a sense of social responsibility among students. In Kendriya Vidyalayas, NCC training is conducted in accordance with the guidelines issued by the NCC Directorate General.
The 4 M.P. CTR NCC unit operates at
PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya COD, Jabalpur.
In the current academic session, a total of 50 cadets are enrolled in the NCC, comprising 28 JD and 22 JW cadets. NCC activities at the school are conducted under the guidance of the ANO and with the support of the school Principal.
Key Activities
The school's NCC unit actively participates in various activities throughout the year, notably—
- Tree plantation and environmental conservation
- Cleanliness drives
- Drug de-addiction awareness programs
- NCC Foundation Day
- International Yoga Day
- Independence Day
- Republic Day
The cadets also participated in the C.A.T.C. camp. During the camp, the school's cadets performed excellently in various competitions and won a gold medal in the cultural program.
